splendid used of muted colours that somehow make the viwer feel as if they are looking into a muddy pool and just as they are out of that pool rises an evil image to scare the living daylights out of you.

i guess it depends on what we mean by dark.
i certainly have a dark side but i express it with words. like you i 'get it out'.
what makes me worry is when people, be they children or adults,cannot find a suitable vehicle for 'getting it out' with either images or words or sounds but choose random acts of violence on others.
your art certainly does that and because i can identify with it is why i like it.
i am not sure if as a child you can make that choice. i think it more likely that the child would have some sinister psychosis underlying their psyche.
