"Alex fell onto the sand on all fours and Daniel mounted him like a stallion mounts a mare. Dark skin on white. A thrusting feral, untamed force. Sensual, carnal, wild. A ritual of mating as primal and corporeal as the seasons. As beautiful and natural as starlight."

yeah, maybe. the trouble is i am a bit thick. i know who bacon is and LOVE the man but as for soutine... never heard of him until now so thanks for that. i have had people compare my writing to various authors such as murakami, kafka, marquez etc,(they must be having a fuckin' laugh!!) again none of whom i had heard of prior to my blogging days. the other good thing to come out of northampton, and a major influence on me, is one alan moore! thanks for the comments. luca is damn good though isn't he?
Soutine - artist, thick black lines, images of meat, horror etc. Worth a Google. Murakami unknown to me - Kafka and Marquez nice to be compared! Alan Moore lives up the road, I believe; drinks in The Abington. I tend not to go into town much, but I am told he can sometimes be seen around. He's a major figure. I grew up on Marvel; and 'grew out of' comics before graphic novels were born. I like what I have seen, though. Comics are very underrated as an artistic mredium, in my view.
Yes, I like Luca's work. Happy to be here. Thanks.

Wonderful image. So dynamic. Great title, too. Francis Bacon, Soutine-esque, but, with that title, more didactic, declarative.
