The ancient trees fall to the earth
As men go about their ways,
The natural treasures of this world
Are lost to us everyday.
The bullet of a shotgun
Can match the violence of a storm,
Tearing through the tigers side
As blood runs down his fur pelt, worn.
Smoke rises from the factories
Like the clouds upon the sky,
The birds maneuvour this toxic gas
Before falling toward the earth to die.
Farmers spray their pesticides
Trying to save the fields,
When all along they act unknowing
Of the power that they do yield.
An oil tanker hits the rocks
A great hole ripped in the side,
This expensive black liquid choking
The fish before they died.
The fishermen on a whaling boat
Cheer as they spot their prize,
As the lance tipped time delay bomb they use
Takes this beautiful creature's life.
Human beings on the top of the foodchain
We've the power to right the wrongs,
But how long will it take
For the leaders of this earth to sing that song.
.
.
.
speak to the dark angels
